Marquez: Ducati is far, but we can fight Yamaha
MotoGP championship leader Marc Marquez has conceded the Ducatis are "one step ahead" this weekend at Spielberg, but feels he can fight his Yamaha title rivals. The factory Ducatis of Andrea Dovizioso and Andrea Iannone comfortably set the fastest times on Friday, the former beating the best of the rest by more than eight tenths. Marquez, on the other hand, was only 10th in FP2, 1.4s off the pace, but the two-time MotoGP champion thinks he will be able to at least take the fight to the Yamahas of Valentino Rossi and Jorge Lorenzo come race day.
