Bradl suffers concussion, will miss home race

German MotoGP rider Stefan Bradl has been ruled out of his home race at the Sachsenring after sustaining a concussion in the Sunday morning warm-up. Having qualified 17th for the race, Aprilia rider Bradl fell at Turn 7 in the warm-up in the wet conditions - and while he managed to walk away from the site of accident, he was subsequently declared unfit for the Grand Prix. This will be the second consecutive year that Bradl misses his home race, having sat out the 2015 edition with a fracture on his right hand. Bradl currently sits P12 in the standings, as the lead Aprilia rider, having scored points in seven consecutive races.
