Sachsenring MotoGP: Vinales tops second practice, Yamaha struggles

Maverick Vinales recovered from a crash in the second practice session for the German MotoGP round at the Sachsenring to beat Andrea Iannone and Marc Marquez to the top spot. Suzuki rider Vinales was in command of the 45-minute session virtually from the get-go, quickly demolishing the benchmark set by Iannone during the rain-hit morning session. After the opening runs, the Spaniard held an advantage of 0.162s over Marquez with a best time of 1m22.804s, although he was forced to switch to the second GSX-RR after crashing at Turn 11 early on.
