MotoGP: Independent teams secured for five years

MotoGP’s current crop of independent teams has been secured for the immediate future, after the seven team bosses signed a new deal that will secure their place on the grid for the next five years, as well as bringing a new financial support package. The price of satellite bike rental from MotoGP’s five (soon to be six) manufacturers has also been capped at 2.2 million, with the new financial support deal set to match that amount to help reduce the teams’ monetary liability.
