Jack Miller’s raw talent had never been in doubt, but his application and maturity had been – until he took the chequered flag in treacherous conditions in last weekend’s Dutch TT to seal his first MotoGP win. Nearly 10 years had passed since the sport’s last big upset, the day when Toni Elias delivered an against-the-odds victory for the satellite Gresini Honda squad in Estoril by edging out Valentino Rossi by 0.002s.
