Emotional Miller says Assen wins answers critics who “badmouthed us”
First-time MotoGP winner Jack Miller says that his sensational victory in an incident-packed Dutch Grand Prix. 1000-1 outsider Miller defeated works Honda rival Marc Marquez by almost two seconds after a restarted race in treacherous conditions, when many stars of the sport crashed out – including Valentino Rossi while leading. Miller's previous best finish in MotoGP was 10th, last time out in Barcelona. Injuries have plagued his time in the top category, including a broken leg sustained in a motocross training accident this year.
