Lorenzo tops the timesheets in FP2

After playing second fiddle to Maverick Vinales in FP1, reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo was able to come out on top in the second practice session at MotoGP's Catalan Grand Prix in Barcelona. Lorenzo trailed fellow Spaniard Vinales by just 0.078s in FP1, and looked set to finish second again when his initial fastest time was surpassed by Vinales in the closing stages of the day's action. Vinales became the first man to go below the 1m 42s mark, but Yamaha's Lorenzo was able to respond with two quicker lap times of his own, eventually setting the day's fastest lap, a 1m 41.712s. That put him 0.242s clear of Suzuki's Vinales and 0.299s ahead of the leading Honda rider, Cal Crutchlow....
