Valentino Rossi said his Catalan Grand Prix victory, achieved after an epic duel with rival Marc Marquez, was one of the best of his illustrious MotoGP career. The seven-time premier class champion led much of the race after passing teammate Jorge Lorenzo, but had to withstand intense pressure from Marquez. And Marquez picked up the pace late on, passing Rossi with three laps to go, only for the Italian to return the favour a lap later and hold on for the win.
