Espargaro brothers considered pulling out after Salom death

Aleix Espargaro has admitted he and his brother Pol were thinking of withdrawing from the Catalan Grand prix weekend after Luis Salom's fatal accident. Moto2 rider Salom suffered a violent crash at Turn 12 in FP2, the last session of the day on Friday. When asked about how difficult it was to return to the track today, Suzuki rider Espargaro said he was considering pulling out of the event alongside his brother Pol. It was only after Dorna CEO Carmelo Ezpeleta explained that the family of Salom wished for the event to continue - albeit on a modified track - that the duo decided to continue after all.
