Reigning champion Jorge Lorenzo set the fastest time in the second free practice session from the Catalunya MotoGP round in Barcelona. Lorenzo’s works Yamaha lapped the Circuit de Catalunya in 1m41.712s, 0.242s clear of this morning’s pacesetter Maverick Vinales. Cal Crutchlow was a surprise third fastest and quickest Honda, just three-tenths off the pace, with Valentino Rossi only sixth and Marc Marquez down in ninth.
