Rossi beats Viñales to pole at Mugello

– Valentino Rossi will start his home race from pole position after topping a close qualifying session at the Italian Grand Prix.Rossi registered a lap of 1:46.504 to beat Suzuki's Maverick Viñales by 0.094s, with Ducati's Andrea Iannone in third, 0.009s down on the Spaniard.Iannone, who led the way during practice, held provisional pole after the first two runs but was unable to respond to his compatriot.Marc Márquez ensured four different manufacturers will be represented in the top four, as reigning World Champion Jorge Lorenzo took fifth.Aleix Espargaró secured progression from Q1 and finished sixth, ahead of Honda's Dani Pedrosa and Tech 3 rider Bradley Smith.Pramac pair...
