Espargaro happy with Le Mans showing

Monster Yamaha Tech 3 rider Pol Espargaro says he is pleased with his fifth place finish at MotoGP's French Grand Prix at Le Mans on Sunday to clinch the top independent position for the third time this season. Fifth place was the Spaniard's best for the season so far and leaves him sixth in the driver standings with 47 points. Sunday's race winner Jorge Lorenzo riding his Movistar Yamaha is top on 90 points followed by Honda's Marc Marquez on 85 points and in third is Lorenzo's teammate Valentino Rossi with 78 points, who finished second over the weekend.
