Jonas Folger signs with Tech3 for 2017 MotoGP season

Moto2 race winner Jonas Folger has been confirmed at the Tech3 team for the 2017 MotoGP season. The German rider is currently in his third Moto2 campaign, having debuted in the series in 2014 with Kalex after several seasons in the 125cc and Moto3 classes. He finished sixth in the championship last year after scoring two wins and two further podium finishes. Folger currently holds fifth in the 2016 standings after four rounds. The deal is for the 2017 season, with a one year option. He will try out the Yamaha YZR-M1 MotoGP bike for the first time at the Valencia test in November.
