Folger secures MotoGP promotion with Tech 3

German rider Jonas Folger will contest his debut season in MotoGP in 2017, having signed with Tech 3 Yamaha. A race winner in 125cc, Moto3 and Moto2, 22-year-old Folger currently sits fifth in the Moto2 standings, riding a Kalex for the Intact GP team. The German will run his first laps on Tech 3's Yamaha YZR-M1 in the MotoGP post-season test at Valencia. "I am super excited about the news and I still can’t believe this is happening," Folger said.
