Laverty takes best ever finish in Argentina

IRISHMAN Eugene Laverty jumped from eighth to fourth after a battle with two other riders and with thanks to Andrea Iannone wiping both Ducati’s out.   Finishing top Independent Team, Laverty described the last lap as special amidst a very unique race for all riders due to a mid-race bike change due to safety concerns. Charging from 14th to tenth in just a few laps on the second bike saw Laverty battle with Hector Barbera and Pol, Espargaro for eighth place. The trio were then promoted by several crashes and retirements as their battled rage on until the final lap. It was on this final lap that Laverty made his move, jumping from eighth to fourth.
