Termas de Rio Hondo extends Argentinian Grand Prix contract

The Termas de Rio Hondo circuit has extended its contract to host the MotoGP Argentinian Grand Prix by a further three years. An agreement was reached with the series just prior to this year’s 2016 race at the track, which was won by Repsol Honda’s Marc Marquez. The circuit first hosted the Argentinian round of MotoGP in 2014 and has proved to be a popular venue on the calendar ever since. The new deal means the series will return to the Termas de Rio Hondo until at least 2019. Dorna Sports, the local government and the promoter OSD reached an agreement to extend the contract of the track.
