Moto2: Determined Lowes finds space for pole

Sam Lowes placed himself perfectly on track after laps of frustration to secure pole for the Argentina Moto2 Grand Prix. Space was at a premium at the Termas de Rio Hondo track in the closing minutes with the Gresini rider crossing the line for his final run as the chequered flag was about to wave after pulling out of several attempts, either meeting an on track battle or getting followed for a tow. The British rider, clearly convinced of his ability to put in a special lap after winning at the circuit in 2015, said he “got my head down” and went to work for a stunning 1m 43.347s, the fastest lap for the class this weekend.
