Binder dominates for debut Moto3 pole

Brad Binder has dominated Moto3 qualifying at Termas de Río Hondo to take his debut pole position in the class by 0.3 ahead of the Team Sky KTM of Romano Fenati. Binder controlled much of the session, setting his fastest lap with ten minutes on the clock despite a huge 20-rider chasing pack trying to benefit from a tow from the Red Bull Ajo KTM racer. Jorge Navarro rounded out the front row, but an impressive ride from Malaysian rider Khairul Pawi was marred with a three-place penalty for touring in FP1 that demotes him to the third row, leaving Nicolo Bulega in fourth after a late lap jumped him from outside the top 15.
