Stoner put off deputising for Petrucci by 2015 bike – Dovizioso
Casey Stoner was put off deputising for Danilo Petrucci in Argentina’s MotoGP round because it would have meant using a year-old bike, reckons Andrea Dovizioso. With Pramac Ducati rider Petrucci ruled out of racing until the hand injury sustained in Febuary’s Phillip Island fully heals, the way seemed to be clear for two-time champion Stoner to make his first Grand Prix start since hanging up his helmet at the end of 2012.
