– Jorge Lorenzo opened his MotoGP title defence in perfect fashion as he waltzed to victory in Qatar after fending off an initial threat by the Ducati riders.Lorenzo held the lead from pole position but was overhauled at the start of the second lap as Andrea Iannone and Dovizioso utilised Ducati's superior straight line speed to breeze past the Yamaha rider.Iannone maintained his authority across the opening stint and repelled a challenge from Dovizioso, with the latter having to take evasive action at Turn 1 to avoid his team-mate.Dovizioso fought back later in the lap and emerged on top, before Iannone crashed at Turn 13, elevating Lorenzo into second.Lorenzo muscled his way back...
