Laverty 'on the back foot' after engine surprise
Eugene Laverty has admitted he was perplexed to learn that the engine he used throughout preseason testing was a different spec to the three other riders using the GP14.2, and feels that his new motor is 'the real Ducati' he had hoped for during the winter break. Beset by several injuries through the off-season, Laverty had been perplexed during testing by a machine that 'didn't want to stop, didn't want to turn and didn't want to change direction.'
