Lowes throws down gauntlet in final test

Sam Lowes dipped under his own lap record at the Losail International Circuit in Qatar to top the Moto2 combined times following a final three-day test ahead of the opening round of the 2016 World Championship next Sunday. Lowes signed off in style under the floodlights on the Team Federal Oil Gresini Kalex, lapping in 1m 59.405s to narrowly better his previous benchmark of 1m 59.423s.
