'Fantastic' day fills Lowes with confidence
Sam Lowes reflected on a 'fantastic' day as the Team Federal Oil Gresini rider completed the official Moto2 test at Jerez in Spain. The British rider headed the times with a lap in 1m 42.075s to top Friday's charts, which was good enough for second place overall on the combined time sheets, 0.345s behind Axel Pons. Lowes has been consistently involved at the head of the times throughout the three-day test and showed impressive race pace with a rhythm constantly under the 1'43 mark during a 15-lap simulation on Friday.
