The second night of the final MotoGP pre-season test took place at Losail in Qatar on Thursday. Maverick Vinales took Suzuki to the top of the official timesheets for the second time in 2016 with a 1m 55.436s - the best of the week so far - on his 28th lap. That kept the Spaniard just 0.072s clear of Ducati's Andrea Iannone, with Wednesday leader and reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo a mere 0.099s behind in third for Yamaha. Vinales was still using the original Suzuki seamless gearbox, but team-mate Aleix Espargaro made his debut on the 'spec 2' version, which has seamless downshifts as well as upshifts.
