Espargaro still 'positive' despite crash
Suzuki factory team rider Aleix Espargaro says he feels positive despite a late fall on Day 1 of MotoGP testing in Qatar, which resulted in a back injury on Wednesday. The 26-year-old Spaniard fell late in the day, high-siding out and injuring his back, to prematurely end his days testing. Espargaro finished 1.1 seconds off Jorge Lorenzo's fastest time of the session in a lowly eleventh place overall, which follows a disappointing test at Phillip Island recently. “This has been another hard day, but once again I feel positive,” Espargaro told crash.net. “After the very bad feeling I had in Australia, here we find a better configuration and the situation got better.
