Petrucci's surgery a success but Qatar participation in doubt

Pramac Racing rider Danilo Petrucci underwent a successful surgery on his right hand on Monday in Melbourne after the crash he had suffered at the Phillip Island test. The Italian rider broke his second, third and fourth metacarpals in his right hand in the accident and was treated at Alfred Hospital. The operation which lasted for three hours and was declared a complete success, with Petrucci set to be back home in Italy this weekend after checks. The Pramac rider is highly unlikely to take part in the final post-season test at Losail in early March and it is not clear whether he can recover in time for the season opener at the same track later in the month - albeit the rider remains...
