Petrucci undergoes successful operation

DANILO Petrucci underwent successful surgery on his righ hand on Monday after crashing on the final day of the Phillip Island MotoGP test. Octo Pramac Yakhnich’s Italian rider had the surgery on Monday morning at Melbourne’s Alfred Hospital after breaking the second, third and fourth metacarpals in his right hand when he crashed on the final day of the test at Turn 8. Petrucci had ended the first day of the test at the top of the time-sheets on his Ducati GP15, but he was amongst a number of riders to crash on the final day.
