Petrucci surgery a success
Pramac Ducati rider Danilo Petrucci underwent a successful surgery in Melbourne on Monday after he injured his right hand during the final day of testing at Phillip Island last Friday. Petrucci, who fractured the second, third and fourth metacarpals after he crashed at Turn 8, was initially scheduled to go under the knife on Saturday, but the operation was pushed back until Monday as his hand was too swollen to operate on. The 25-year-old will now undergo further checks before returning home to Italy, where he will rest and recuperate ahead of the upcoming MotoGP season.
