Lorenzo eager to renew contract

Reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo has admitted that he wants to renew his contract with Yamaha prior to the start of the upcoming season. Lorenzo won his third MotoGP crown after a season-long battle with teammate Valentino Rossi, who failed in his bid to win his seventh title as he was made to start from the back of the grid at the season finale in Valencia last year as he was found guilty of kicking Repsol Honda rider Marc Marquez off his bike during the penultimate race of the season at Sepang.
