Petrucci may miss season opener

Pramac Ducati rider Danilo Petrucci is likely to miss the MotoGP season opener in Qatar after injuring his right hand during the final day of testing at Phillip Island on Friday. Petrucci fractured the second, third and fourth metacarpals in his hand after crashing at Turn 8 and will now undergo further scans in Melbourne on Saturday. Petrucci has already been ruled out of the final pre-season test in Qatar from March 2 to 4, but he has also been listed as doubtful for the race, which takes place on March 20.
