Marquez leads crash-marred final day
Marc Marquez put Repsol Honda on top of the timesheets on the final day of MotoGP pre-season testing at Phillip Island, but there were a total of 13 accidents through the field. The Spaniard took over P1 from Suzuki's Maverick Vinales with 45 minutes left on the clock, lapping in 1m29.158s, 0.141sec quicker than Vinales. The Suzuki rider had a big crash midway into the session but still managed to hold onto second in another strong showing from the team. LCR Honda's Cal Crutchlow finished third ahead of Avintia Racing's Hector Barbera with the first Yamaha of Valentino Rossi in fifth, 0.277s off Marquez.
