A wasted day for Crutchlow
BRITISH MotoGP rider Cal Crutchlow has described the first day of the Phillip Island test as 'wasted' as rain stops play. LCR Honda and rider Crutchlow were unable to follow through their initial test plans for the first day of the Phillip Island test due to rain showers. The picturesque Phillip Island circuit, which lies to the south of Melbourne, is well known for its sketchy weather conditions due to its cliff top location and today proved to be no different. Crutchlow did manage to squeeze in two laps on slick tyres when the track briefly dried, setting the fifth fastest time of the day in the process. However, no sooner had he set his fast lap that the drizzle returned....
