Laverty: X-Ray reveals no broken wrist
Ireland's Eugene Laverty escaped with ligament and tissue damage to his wrist following a big spill on day one of the Sepang MotoGP Test. Initial reports suggested the Power Electronics Aspar Ducati rider may have suffered a broken wrist and the 29-year-old was relieved the injury was not worse after recently recovering from a broken wrist sustained in a spill at the Valencia test last November. Laverty explained that a 'mechanical problem' forced him to jump off the GP14.2 at turn four on his 27th lap and revealed he also had a lucky escape after encountering some electronics problems in the morning, causing the throttle to stick open in excess of 100kph. “We've been for the X-ray and...
