ITALIAN Valentino Rossi has finished day one of the MotoGP Sepang test in second place, 1.033s behind team-mate Jorge Lorenzo. The Movistar Yamaha MotoGP team have made a strong start to the 2016 season with Lorenzo and Rossi completing the first day of the MotoGP World Championship Sepang test in first and second. Rossi finished the day just over one second behind Lorenzo as the Spaniard set and continued a blistering pace throughout the day. Despite being disappointed at being over a second slower than Lorenzo, Rossi is pleased with the progress both he and Yamaha have made on the first day.
