Melandri confirms absence from 2016 WSBK grid
Marco Melandri has confirmed he will not race in this year's World Superbike Championship, leaving him without a ride for the 2016 season. The former 250cc world champion hasn't raced since parting ways with the Aprilia MotoGP team last year, but tested for the MV Agusta WSBK squad at Jerez last November. However, the team made it clear from the outset there was little prospect of being able to accommodate Melandri in its 2016 race line-up alongside existing rider Leon Camier.
