Sepang Circuit to be resurfaced
The Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia will close for resurfacing from 15 February to 8 May. The opening 2016 MotoGP test will still take place from February 1-3 as planned. Both Formula 1 and MotoGP races are hosted by the Sepang Circuit and the upgrades are in line with requirements from the FIA and FIM to meet international standards. The entire 5.54km track will be resurfaced plus there will be upgrades done to the drainage system, kerbs and run-off area tarmac. The gravel beds will also be rebuilt at Turns 1 and 15.
