Rossi withdraws appeal against Sepang penalty

Valentino Rossi has withdrawn the appeal against the penalty he was awarded after his clash with Marc Marquez in this year's MotoGP race in Malaysia. Yamaha rider Rossi had filed the appeal after the Sepang race, where he was penalised for what was ruled to be an overly aggressive move on Honda rider Marquez. The penalty meant Rossi had to start the season finale at Valencia from the back of the grid. Teammate Jorge Lorenzo went to win that race and the title, while Rossi could only recover to fourth place. Rossi, who had been awarded three penalty points, sought the annulment of the penalty at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS). On Thursday, however, CAS announced the Italian MotoGP...
