Ducati eyes reunion with Stoner in test role

– Ducati has confirmed that it has conducted talks with Double MotoGP World Champion Casey Stoner over a potential test return for the Australian, amid rumours of wild card appearances.Stoner won the 2007 title and claimed 23 victories during a four-year spell at Ducati, before switching to Honda, where he added a further 15 wins and the 2011 title to his haul.Stoner retired at the end of 2012 but maintained a test role with Honda and wanted to fill-in for Dani Pedrosa earlier in 2015 when the Spaniard recovered from surgery, though his request was turned down by the outfit.Stoner's racing return was cut short at the Suzuka 8 Hours when he sustained injuries in a high-speed crash,...
