Lorenzo wins in Valencia to take championship

– Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo claimed his fifth World Championship – his third in the premier class – after taking victory during the season finale in Valencia as Valentino Rossi recovered from last to fourth.Lorenzo kept Honda riders Marc Márquez and Dani Pedrosa at bay while Rossi recovered to take fourth, losing out in the final standings by just five points.Lorenzo bolted away from the lead as Márquez and Pedrosa slotted into position for Honda, while Rossi picked off riders with aplomb.Rossi was up to 15th place by the end of the first lap and gained another three spots next time around, before emerging in ninth on lap three, aided by Andrea Iannone crashing out in spectacular...
