CAS rejects Rossi stay of execution, penalty upheld

– The Court of Arbitration for Sport has rejected Valentino Rossi's request for a stay of execution regarding the penalty he received in Malaysia, meaning he must start this weekend's Valencia finale from the back of the grid.Rossi was handed three penalty points for colliding with Marc Márquez and allied to a point he received earlier in 2015 meant he would have to start the next round of the season from the back.Rossi took his cause to the CAS in the hope that an appeal would lead to the penalty being suspended until 2016, but the organisation confirmed on Thursday that the original decision has been upheld.Representatives of Rossi and the FIM met at Lausanne to discuss the case...
