CAS rejects Lorenzo's request for intervention in Rossi case

Jorge Lorenzo has had a request for intervention rejected by the Court of Arbitration for Sport in their case of Valentino Rossi's appeal against his penalty points from Sepang. The Italian is requesting a stay of execution from those penalty points at this weekend's Valencia Grand Prix and as an "interested party" in the championship fight it was Lorenzo's right to request to be involved in proceedings. However in a short statement the CAS rejected his request: "On 2 November 2015, lawyers acting for Jorge Lorenzo filed a Request for Intervention in order to be able to participate on his behalf in the CAS arbitration between Valentino Rossi and the FIM.
