Lorenzo request for intervention in Rossi penalty case rejected

Jorge Lorenzo has had a request for intervention in the ongoing Valentino Rossi penalty points case rejected by the Court for Arbitration of Sport (CAS). After being demoted to the back of the grid for this weekend's Valencia season finale by FIM race stewards for his clash with Marc Marquez at Sepang, Rossi filed an appeal to CAS for his penalty to be suspended pending a final ruling. As an interested party in the outcome of the appeal, Lorenzo had the right to request to participate in the ruling, doing so on Monday - but this has been rejected by CAS.
