Rossi to Start Last in Valencia Title Decider

Valentino Rossi has been given three penalty points as a result of his collision with Marc Marquez in today’s Malaysian Grand Prix, forcing him to start the final round in Valencia from the back of the grid. The Italian retains his third place, giving him a seven point lead over Jorge Lorenzo to take to the season finale, but the penalty imposed will leave him at a severe disadvantage. Rossi was adjudged to have deliberately caused an accident through irresponsible riding, and with his season tally of penalty points now at four, he will be banished to the back of the grid for the next race.
