PIC: Andrea Iannone s seagull strike

Andrea Iannone's Ducati received another set of 'wings' when the Italian struck a seagull while leading on lap 2 of Sunday's Australian MotoGP. The fearless seagulls are a regular hazard at Phillip Island, but this one pushed its luck a little too far and didn't have time to escape as Iannone charged over the top of Lukey Heights. The impact left a large hole in the front right fairing of his Desmosedici GP15, but Iannone was able to continue and play a starring role in the best race of the season. Iannone finished the race in third place, less than one-second from victory. Pictures: Gold and Goose
