Márquez takes pole at Phillip Island

– Marc Márquez secured his eighth pole position of rht season after dominating qualifying for the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.Honda's Márquez held top spot after the first batch of runs and duly improved on his time to clock a 1:28:364, demonstrating his rapid one-lap pace at the circuit.That proved to be 0.316s clear of Ducati's Andrea Iannone and Yamaha's Jorge Lorenzo, who set identical times in second and third, the position going to the Italian by virtue of posting it first.Lorenzo's predicament was rosier than that of title rival Valentino Rossi, who could manage only seventh position on his Yamaha.Rossi was unable to match Dani Pedrosa, Cal Crutchlow and Maverick...
