Dovizioso admits riding approach needs work
Andrea Dovizioso admitted his approach around the Phillip Island circuit needed tweaking after he endured a difficult first day of MotoGP free practice. Around a track which requires riders to spend a lot of time at maximum lean angle, Dovizioso found his racing lines to be ineffective as he failed to bring the speed shown in Japan to Australia. Despite fitting a softer option rear tyre towards the end of the 45-minute afternoon session, Dovizioso was unable to climb higher than 14th, a disappointing outcome considering team-mate Andrea Iannone placed fourth. “Not the best,” was Dovizioso's assessment, who acknowledged a change was needed in his riding style around the flowing track....
