Cudlin to fill in for De Angelis

Damian Cudlin says his call up by Ioda Racing to replaced the injured Alex de Angelis in Australia is a "nice surprise". De Angelis remains in intensive care in Japan following his heavy crash at Motegi in which he suffered fractures, an intracranial hematoma and contusions to his lungs. There has been encouraging news of late with the 31-year-old Italian showing slight improvement although he remains in a critical condition. While his recovery continues, Team e-motion Ioda Racing has brought in Cudlin to fill in at this weekend's event at Phillip Island. The 30-year-old from New South Wales has contested six MotoGP starts but last competed in 2013 at the Valencia circuit....
