Laverty has high hopes for Phillip Island

Eugene Laverty hopes to make his experience at Phillip Island count this weekend as he bids for his second Open class victory of the season. The Aspar Honda rider won his maiden Open class race at Aragon on the RC213V-RS but finished outside the points at Motegi in Japan, where rear tyre problems hampered the Irishman as he made his racing return at the Twin Ring Circuit for the first time in eight years.
