Small improvements for de Angelis

– Medical staff treating injured MotoGP rider Alex de Angelis reported small improvements in his condition on Monday, having been able to gradually reduce his sedation.De Angelis was airlifted to Dokkyo hospital after crashing in fourth practice for the Japanese Grand Prix at Motegi, suffering rib and spinal fractures, and lung contusions.Shortly after he was admitted to hospital, further scans revealed an intracranial hematoma, and the 31-year-old Italian was then described as being in a "critical condition".An update on Monday stated that another CT scan "reassuringly" confirmed that the intracranial hematoma was unchanged, while the contusions to his lungs were...
