Lorenzo beats circuit record
Movistar Yamaha rider Jorge Lorenzo dipped under the circuit record in the first free practice session at the Aragon MotoGP on Friday. The Spaniard surged to the top of the time-sheets with by clocking 1’48.249 at Motorland Aragon, a track Movistar Yamaha have used for testing on several occasions recently. Lorenzo was just 0.490 seconds faster than fellow Spaniard and Repsol Honda rider of Marc Marquez, who was second fastest. Valentino Rossi, also racing for Movistar, claimed the final podium place after finishing 0.575 seconds behind his teammate in 1'48.824.
